The Role
- Oversee financial performance, internal business systems, human resource practices, and compliance infrastructure – enabling leadership to focus on growth, client relationships, client operations, and strategic direction.
- The scope of this role is focused on REDi’s internal finance, human resources, compliance, and business-support infrastructure; client engagement and client-service operations are led separately.
- This role is for a hands-on leader who takes ownership, exercises sound judgment, and is motivated by strengthening financial and administrative practices, improving internal processes, fostering a positive employee experience, and ensuring the business operates effectively.

- Ensure financial accuracy, visibility, and discipline across the organization.
- Provide timely, accurate financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting that support leadership decision-making on margins, pricing, investments, and other business priorities.
- Build effective internal business systems and infrastructure that support REDi’s continued growth.
- Lead effective human resource practices that support the team, strengthen the employee experience, and ensure employment compliance.
- Safeguard the organization through strong internal controls, risk management, and disciplined regulatory, grant, and contract compliance.
The Work You Focus On
Financial Leadership & Reporting
- Lead and manage the organization's finance functions, ensuring accurate accounting, timely reporting, and compliance with financial standard.
- Track company financial targets and margin expectations.
- Maintain financial accuracy, visibility, and discipline across the organization.
- Provide timely, accurate financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting that support leadership decision-making.
- Translate results into clear reporting and recommendations for leadership.
- Lead revenue forecasting, budgeting, and financial projections, including scenario modeling, to inform leadership decisions.
- Coordinate with third-party accounting and payroll providers, ensuring appropriate oversight and internal controls.
- Support banking relationships, debt management, and financial reporting requirements.
- Oversight of AP/AR, expense management, and cash flow processes executed by the Finance & Administration Team.
- Review and maintain the general ledger and financial statements, and prepare financial reporting and analysis for leadership.
Human Resources Leadership
- Lead the company’s human resource function, ensuring effective people practices and compliance with federal and state employment requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and administer HR policies and practices that support a consistent, fair, and effective employee experience.
- Partner with leadership on workforce planning, compensation, organizational needs, and employee-related matters.
- Support internal compliance awareness and adherence to regulatory standards.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Maintain corporate infrastructure, including registrations, filings, certifications, and permits across jurisdictions.
- Monitor regulatory and legal changes and ensure alignment of company policies and practices.
- Establish and maintain systems to track compliance requirements and deadlines.
- Oversee the company’s HIPAA compliance program, including privacy requirements, coordination with security resources, required documentation, workforce training, and incident response procedures.
- Manage compliance with government grant and contract requirements, including reporting, documentation, and audit readiness.
- Manage review of internal business and vendor contracts, coordinating with external counsel as needed, and provide support on complex contract matters across the organization.
- Support internal compliance awareness and adherence to regulatory standards.
Finance, Administration & HR Business Systems
- Provide direction and oversight of REDi’s internal finance and administrative functions to support business continuity, efficiency, and organizational growth in a fully remote environment.
- Evaluate and improve internal business processes and workflows to increase efficiency, coordination, and effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain administrative policies, procedures, and standards that promote consistency, compliance, and risk reduction.
- Manage the company's internal business vendor relationships — such as accounting, payroll systems, outsourced IT/helpdesk, and security services.
- Cook up with the executive team on vendor strategy and changes.
Experience That Will Help You Be Successful
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Typically 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, administration or business leadership roles.
- Experience operating in a startup, consulting firm, or small business environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and internal controls.
- Experience leading human resources functions, including employee relations, compensation, benefits, HR policies, and multi-state employment compliance.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance; experience with HIPAA and/or government grant or contract compliance is a plus.
- Proven ability to build and improve business systems and processes.
- Strong organizational judgment and attention to detail.
- Able to operate independently with high accountability.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with leadership and external partners.
