Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for water and wastewater construction operations
- Oversee successful project execution from preconstruction through closeout
- Lead Project Managers, Superintendents, and construction leadership teams
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards
- Drive operational performance across project delivery, staffing, scheduling, profitability, and resource planning
- Review and approve project budgets, schedules, contracting strategies, risk assessments, and resource plans
- Develop and implement strategies to support revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion
- Partner with estimating and business development teams on strategic pursuits and new opportunities
- Serve as an executive sponsor for major projects and important client accounts
- Champion a culture of safety, accountability, quality, and operational discipline
- Lead workforce planning, succession planning, talent development, and retention efforts
- Evaluate and implement process improvements, construction technologies, and operational best practices
- Collaborate with finance and senior leadership on annual budgets, forecasting, and long-range planning
What They're Looking For
- 15+ years of progressive construction leadership experience
- Significant experience with water and wastewater treatment facility construction
- Strong background overseeing Project Managers, Superintendents, field teams, and construction operations
- Proven ability to manage multiple departments, project teams, and operational priorities
- Strong understanding of budgets, schedules, contracts, risk management, and project controls
- Able to lead through conflict, make sound decisions under pressure, and drive accountability
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with owners, boards, executives, clients, and field teams
- Valid driver's license required
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
