About the role

The Vice President of Behavioral Health, Sacramento is part of the senior leadership team and is responsible for directing contract and program operations, developing a portfolio of new business in support of intentional growth, and providing administrative and therapeutic leadership for multiple direct-service programs within an assigned region or program portfolio. These programs serve individuals with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, chronic health conditions, and housing instability or homelessness across the full scope of care at BACS. This person serves as the operational head and primary leadership interface with County, municipal, community, and other key stakeholders within their assigned scope. The position oversees therapeutic, administrative, fiscal, and quality improvement functions to promote the highest standards of service delivery and holds signing authority within their area of responsibility. The role is also responsible for successfully implementing new programs and services in alignment with BACS’ strategy and growth plan, including regulatory and funding applications that support new business development. This person oversees facilities within their assigned scope, holds full P&L responsibility for their portfolio, and is accountable for achieving clinical objectives, delivering high-quality care, maintaining strong County and State relationships, and meeting budgetary goals.
