Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions
Mission & Scope
The business is highly acquisitive and actively evaluating multiple opportunities, with a strong pipeline expected to translate into near-term LOIs and continued transaction activity. This is a hands-on corporate development role for someone who wants to operate at the intersection of M&A, business development, and execution.
Role Focus
Help source, evaluate, and execute add-on acquisitions across fragmented field services markets
Develop relationships with founders, intermediaries, and buyside/sellside advisors to build actionable deal flow
Lead financial analysis, target evaluation, valuation work, and diligence coordination
Partner with executive leadership and the private equity sponsor to pressure-test investment opportunities and strategic fit
Support transaction execution from initial outreach through close
Assist with post-close integration planning and execution to ensure operational alignment and value realization
Help develop scalable integration playbooks and operating frameworks
Partner cross-functionally with operations, finance, and leadership teams to support enterprise growth initiatives
Build reporting structures and pipeline visibility tools to improve accountability and execution rigor
Support broader growth initiatives and strategic planning efforts across the organization
Identify market expansion opportunities and strategic priorities tied to long-term platform growth
Operate as a key strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team in a fast-paced, acquisition-driven environment
Qualifications
Experience in: Corporate development, Investment banking, Private equity, Transaction advisory or strategic finance
Demonstrated experience leading or supporting M&A transactions end-to-end
Strong business development instincts and relationship-building capabilities
Excellent financial modeling, analytical, and diligence capabilities
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and operate effectively in ambiguous, high-growth environments
Prior integration experience is a plus, but not required
Experience within field services, industrials, business services, or other fragmented industries is helpful but not required
Strong communication, organization, and execution skills with a high sense of ownership and urgency
Location & Travel
Phoenix preferred or willingness to spend significant time there. Open on geography for the right candidate. Travel expected as part of acquisition activity and integration support.
