About the role
The Vice President of Marketing and Communications will lead The Fellowship's global brand strategy, communications platform, and marketing operations. They will oversee the development and execution of integrated marketing, communications, and public relations strategies to elevate brand awareness, communicate the organization's mission and impact, and support fundraising initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the organization's global brand strategy, communications platform, and marketing operations
- Oversee the development and execution of integrated marketing, communications, and public relations strategies
- Elevate brand awareness and communicate The Fellowship's mission and impact
- Support fundraising initiatives that fuel The Fellowship's global humanitarian work
- Guide the strategy and performance of the organization's marketing and communications functions
- Ensure marketing strategy and messaging align with The Fellowship's integrated fundraising model
- Lead and mentor a talented marketing and communications team
- Help strengthen systems, processes, and strategic alignment across departments
Requirements
- Proven track record in leading marketing and communications efforts for a nonprofit organization
- Experience in developing and executing integrated marketing, communications, and public relations strategies
- Strong understanding of nonprofit fundraising and ability to align marketing efforts with fundraising goals
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to craft compelling narratives and messaging
- Ability to manage a team and mentor staff members
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders and audiences, including donors, partners, and the media
- Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in marketing and communications
- Proven success in leading marketing and communications efforts for a nonprofit organization
- Experience in developing and executing integrated marketing, communications, and public relations strategies
- Strong understanding of nonprofit fundraising and ability to align marketing efforts with fundraising goals
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to craft compelling narratives and messaging
- Experience managing a team and mentoring staff members
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders and audiences, including donors, partners, and the media
- Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously

- Strategic thinking and ability to develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce compelling content for various channels
- Experience in public relations and crisis management
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners
