Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison to state government entities
- Aid in the development of state legislative public policy
- Develop strategic relationships with state legislative policymakers
- Identify and analyze state legislative and regulatory issues
- Represent state health plan and the company Corporation to trade groups
- Develop and shape legislative policies and strategies
- Balance reporting requirements to multiple constituencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy, Government Affairs, Business Administration or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of related experience
- Extensive knowledge of state legislative and regulatory processes
- Experience with state legislature and healthcare trade associations
- Previous management experience in hiring and training staff
- Master's Degree or Law degree preferred
