About the role

The Vice President, Lead Software Engineer at Morgan Stanley will focus on developing enterprise applications for the Finance division. This role involves renovating and automating business processes related to the firm's balance sheet and financial reporting. The engineer will maintain the technology platform for the Finance Regulatory Controllers group and work with large volumes of data to produce complex financial reports. Additionally, the position includes implementing agile principles and adopting cloud-based technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise applications for the Finance division.
• Renovate and automate business processes involving the production of the firm's balance sheet and reporting financials to regulators globally.
• Maintain the technology platform that enables the Finance Regulatory Controllers group to collect and report on the firm's balance sheet, capital and liquidity ratios, and financial reports.
• Build and maintain proprietary in-house and vendor-based applications that operate on large volumes of data and perform critical financial calculations.
• Implement agile principles for the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and work on a range of technologies including web-based front-end, java-based server side, and databases.
• Renovate the tech stack further to adopt cloud-based technologies.
• Work on AI initiatives using Snowflake Cortex to integrate with the firm’s 'Talk to Your Data' capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field of study.
• Five years of experience in the position offered or five years as a Principal Consultant, Manager, Software Engineer, or a closely related occupation.
• Five years of experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Datawarehousing concepts and tools, Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines, DevOps, Jenkins, Microsoft SQL Server, Autosys, Data Analysis, Data Modelling, Business Analysis, and Agile Methodologies.
• Three years of experience with Teradata, Snowflake, Scala, Python, Tableau, Financial Accounting, and System Reliability Engineering.

Pay

$194,000 - $210,000 per year
