Job Description

BryceTech is looking for an experienced Software Engineer Lead to support our US Space Force, Space Systems Command (SSC) customer. This position will provide space acquisitions, engineering, operations, and technical advice and assistance for all projects and programs, as required, to support any stage of the acquisition life cycle. The effort will support the development, advancement, and sustainment of weapon systems for Space Systems Command (SSC) Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (SDACP), Battle Management, Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3), and their mission partners.

Customer Background Information

The Space Domain Awareness & Combat Power (SDACP) Program Executive Office (PEO) focuses on delivering cyber, ground- and space-based systems that rapidly detect, warn, characterize, attribute, and predict threats to national, allied, and commercial space systems, while also providing National Security deterrence capabilities countering those identified threats to prevail in a space conflict. SSC/SZ-BC provides highly classified SDA systems, DSC/OSC capabilities, and space test range assets to meet current and projected Department of Defense (DoD) operational requirements. SSC provides unrivaled space systems to ensure survival for both the United States Space Force and our nation. These systems span the entire acquisition life cycle.

Minimum Knowledge and Experience

  • Expert in Agile processes and implementation for large scale software programs
  • Experience building, testing, delivering, and deploying secure enterprise software systems
  • Experience communicating with leadership, stakeholders, and development communities
  • Effective management experience with large scale programs (more than 100 personnel)
  • Knowledgeable with respect to DoD, Air Force, or SSC processes and procedures for delivering systems to production environments
  • Familiarity with highly available, scalable cloud native solutions within commercial industry

Description of Work

  • Support program acquisition efforts for advanced technology, future concept development, and integration activities
  • Advise and assist the Government on cost, schedule, and performance matters
  • Revise or provide draft JCIDS and acquisition documentation to the applicable Government program manager and support the presentation of products to internal and external customers
  • Provide a draft SME-level technical and/or programmatic status report of any individual program or of the portfolio, in coordination with the Government program manager, upon request by the Government
  • Identify areas of improvement, including acquisition process improvements
  • Provide actionable, feasible recommendations and execute tasks for reducing risk where appropriate
  • Maintain awareness of current program schedule, monitor acquisition implementation, report requirement shortfalls, and provide a program assessment based on the identified risks
  • Combine and correlate program execution data with the program baselines to accurately maintain and update acquisition reports
  • Advise the Government program manager on technical engagements, to include but not limited to, technical interchange meetings, design reviews, program conferences, video teleconferences, telecons, working groups, and informational meetings
  • Maintain a broad awareness and understanding of all programs and technology development efforts in execution across the applicable portfolio, as required
  • Assist integrated product teams and working groups and establish customer and Contractor interfaces
  • Provide technical and operational insight to support mission protection, operations, and mission data assessments
  • Recommend viable solutions for technical anomalies
  • Develop, deliver, review, and evaluate impact analysis, audits, studies, compliance inspections, and readiness reviews
  • Advise the Government program manager regarding robust software planning and development for a spiral/agile acquisition program

Qualifications

  • Educational Requirements: BA/BS 3-10 years of relative experience
  • Security Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI)
