Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for all ISR flying operations, including flight operations, mission execution, and aircraft maintenance.
- Mentor and develop multi-disciplinary teams of pilots, mission sensor operators, and maintenance professionals to ensure high performance and readiness.
- Oversee operational planning, scheduling, and execution of ISR missions in support of U.S. and foreign military customers.
- Mission system integration / payload installation oversight - sensor and comms integration, ground station interoperability, and configuration management.
- Vendor and subcontractor coordination – maintain mission system OEM, sensor provider, MRO, and parts supplier relationships. Oversee SOW development, vendor performance management, and contract execution to sustain fleet readiness.
- Ensure full compliance with FAA regulations and airworthiness, military standards, contractual requirements, and internal safety and quality programs to include continuing airworthiness, STC and configuration control, maintenance program execution, and FAA / GFR coordination.
- Drive operational efficiency, continuous improvement, and standardization across all operational departments.
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership, business development, program managers, and long-range operational planning and growth.
- Maintain accountability for budget performance, resource allocation, staffing levels, and operational forecasting.
- Build and strengthen relationships with government customers, industry partners, and regulatory agencies.
- Lead risk management activities, ensuring robust mitigation plans, safety protocols, and operational resilience.
- Represent A2G International in customer briefings, program reviews, and international engagements as required.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of aviation operations leadership, preferably in ISR, special missions, defense contracting, or military aviation.
- Demonstrated success managing flight operations and maintenance organizations in high-tempo environments.
- Strong understanding of ISR mission systems, aircrew training, and mission execution frameworks.
- Working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 91 operations and DCMA Instruction 8210.1D, including airworthiness oversight, STC management, and mission system integration on special mission aircraft.
- Proven ability to lead multi-site teams and manage complex operational programs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with senior government and military stakeholders.
- Experience supporting U.S. Department of Defense or international defense customers strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
