Responsibilities

  • Aid in investor communications, providing updates on project performance, development progress, and portfolio strategy.
  • Respond to investor inquiries and coordinate responses to due diligence requests in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Maintain awareness of investor feedback, sentiment, and areas of focus across the portfolio.
  • Support the execution of capital raising initiatives across various investment vehicles, joint ventures, and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to articulate investment opportunities and communicate strategy to prospective investors.
  • Track investor engagement and contribute to pipeline development during fundraising cycles.
  • Coordinate investor meetings and presentations tied to capital formation efforts.
  • Oversee the creation of investor-facing materials, including presentations, offering and deal materials, quarterly and annual reporting packages.
  • Ensure clear, consistent, and aligned messaging with the firm’s strategy and brand.
  • Translate complex development, financial, and operational information into clear, concise investor communications.
  • Work with internal teams to analyze investment performance, development timelines, and portfolio results for investor reporting.
  • Support due diligence processes by coordinating internal data and ensuring accurate and timely delivery of materials.
  • Stay informed about market trends, investor preferences, and competitive positioning within the student housing and multifamily sectors.
  • Collaborate with development, acquisitions, asset management, and finance teams to gather and validate information for investor communications.
  • Coordinate across teams to ensure alignment on messaging, timelines, and deliverables tied to investor reporting and capital initiatives.
  • Prepare for investor meetings, presentations, and strategic discussions.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to junior team members supporting investor relations and reporting efforts.
  • Establish processes and best practices for investor communications, reporting, and data management.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, high-performance team environment focused on responsiveness and quality.

Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of experience in real estate fundraising or a closely related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with a focus in Business, Real Estate, Finance, or other relevant subject matter.
  • Understanding of underwriting and investment concepts and the ability to apply them.
  • Advanced financial and analytical skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Pay

The pay range for this position is between $175,000 - $215,000 annually, depending on a variety of factors including market factors in the geographical location where the candidate lives.

Schedule

The employee will be expected to travel on an as-needed basis for investor meetings, conferences, and investor-related market and property tours.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee may infrequently drive a vehicle (intrastate and interstate travel) or be subject to air travel for purposes of Company business.
