Vice President, Investor Operations
Summary
Ares Management is seeking a Vice President to join their Investor Operations team in New York. The role supports the firm's strategic objectives related to fundraising and client service.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities
- Provide coordination and act as the primary point of contact between the business group and Technology teams.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication to ensure mutual understanding of goals, requirements, and timelines.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.
- Cook up and manage new feature testing and communication between business and technology teams.
- Design and develop Power BI dashboards to provide actionable insights.
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement and present data findings and recommendations to senior management in a clear and concise manner.
- Utilize programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, R) and AI code-assist tools to create advanced data analysis and automate tasks.
- Stay updated with the latest technology trends and tools to enhance project outcomes.
Qualifications
- Education: College graduate with a major in Computer Science, Information Technology, or General Business preferred, with outstanding academic record.
- General Requirements: Proven experience in a liaison role between business and technology teams, strong project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering technology projects, proficiency in Power BI and experience in creating dashboards and reports, knowledge of programming languages such as Python, SQL, and R, excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to senior management, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience & Skills Required: 7-10 years of experience in technical project management or similar disciplines including product management at a leading technology company, experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Einstein Analytics), experience using coding languages (e.g., R, SQL, Python), proficiency with a CRM and managing CRM data, experience with Salesforce is a plus, experience working with alternative asset classes is a plus, but not required.
Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $180,000 - $220,000 /annum.
