About the role

Our San Francisco Healthcare Investment Banking team is seeking an accomplished Vice President to join our growing practice at a pivotal moment in the healthcare sector. Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive transaction support for senior bankers across IPOs, secondary offerings, private placements, and M&A transactions in the healthcare sector
  • Lead financial analysis, valuation modeling, and market research to inform transaction strategy and client recommendations
  • Manage preparation of marketing materials, pitch presentations, offering memoranda, and transaction documentation with meticulous attention to detail and market positioning
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on healthcare companies, including financial statement analysis, business plan assessment, and competitive landscape evaluation
  • Serve as day-to-day client contact throughout transaction processes, ensuring seamless communication and relationship management
  • Collaborate with capital markets teams, legal counsel, and other transaction participants to coordinate execution and drive deals to successful completion
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance on technical skills, client interaction, and professional development
  • Stay current on healthcare sector trends, regulatory developments, and market conditions to provide informed strategic counsel to clients and internal teams
  • Perform other tasks and duties as required and assigned

Qualifications

  • MBA, CFA, CPA or other advanced degree/credentials desired
  • At least 5 years of Healthcare/Life Sciences Investment Banking experience required
  • Current FINRA Series 79, 63 licenses required
  • Highly proficient in financial statement analysis and advanced financial modeling and financial statement analysis skills
  • Working knowledge of Capital IQ, Thomson One, Venture Source, Bloomberg and other databases
  • Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Solid work ethic and a passion for the securities industry
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet time sensitive deadlines

Pay

The reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $200,000-$225,000. Colleagues may be eligible for additional, discretionary incentive compensation based on the colleague's and the firm's performance.
