About the role

Ogilvy Health is seeking a VP, Influence & Social Strategy to join our team. This leadership position offers a unique opportunity to define, lead, and innovate integrated social media and influencer marketing strategies for top-tier pharmaceutical and medical device PR and advertising clients. As a principal architect of engagement, you will set the strategic direction for both branded and unbranded programs, pioneering novel approaches across owned social channels and high-impact influencer collaborations while ensuring alignment with brand objectives and adherence to FDA and FTC regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a thought leader and strategic architect, driving seamless integration between social media innovation, brand strategy, and engagement planning for Ogilvy Health’s top clients.
  • Cultivate and expand deep, trust-based relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor to address complex challenges and deliver strategic counsel.
  • Lead the end-to-end strategy, development, and execution of large-scale, complex campaigns, including budgeting, resource allocation, timeline management, and performance analytics.
  • Champion the strategy, development, and execution of groundbreaking influencer marketing programs (branded and unbranded), including influencer identification, contract negotiation, relationship management, and content brief creation.
  • Define and implement data-driven content strategies for product and corporate social media channels, ensuring engaging, relevant, and compliant content.
  • Provide executive oversight for premium creative content development, delivering strategic briefs to creative teams and collaborating with copywriters, designers, and video producers.
  • Architect seamless collaboration across PR, Advanced Analytics, Creative, and Paid Media teams, as well as external partner agencies, to maximize campaign impact.
  • Maintain an exhaustive understanding of FDA and FTC regulations pertinent to healthcare social media and influencer marketing, implementing proactive compliance strategies.
  • Track, analyze, and interpret campaign performance data, delivering executive-level reports and driving data-driven optimization.
  • Identify and implement emerging social media trends, platforms, and technologies to push boundaries and redefine campaign performance.
  • Provide inspiring leadership and mentorship to foster a high-performance, collaborative, and growth-oriented team environment.
  • Play a critical role in new business initiatives, including leading RFP responses, developing pitches, and expanding the agency’s footprint in the healthcare sector.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience leading unbranded and branded pharmaceutical social media programming at a senior level.
  • Proven expertise in integrating social media as a cornerstone of omnichannel marketing strategies.
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience leading healthcare client engagements, ideally within a top-tier PR or advertising agency or in-house marketing leadership role.
  • A distinguished track record of conceptualizing, developing, and managing impactful influencer programs for healthcare clients.
  • Extensive experience leading social media channels for major healthcare brands, including strategic use of third-party scheduling, monitoring, and listening platforms.
  • Comprehensive understanding of FDA and FTC regulations related to healthcare social media and influencer marketing.
  • Superior analytical capabilities to interpret complex data, forecast campaign performance, and generate actionable insights.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, rapidly evolving environment, managing multiple executive-level projects with adaptability.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $100,000—$230,000 USD.
