Vice President Group Strategic Sourcing, North America
Mission
Lead the strategic identification and implementation of innovative procurement solutions and synergies across LVMH's North American entities. This critical role directly impacts a region generating over $20 billion in revenues, contributing nearly 25% of the Group's global revenue. The Vice President will oversee indirect procurement across key categories including Marketing and Events, Stores Construction and Operations, Logistics and Transportation, IT (hardware, software, services), HR-related services (temping, search), energy, and general administrative goods & services.
Job responsibilities
- Collaborate strategically with Procurement representatives across brands to assess needs, champion procurement synergies, and design and execute impactful solutions.
- Orchestrate and lead high-level steering committee meetings with key stakeholders, including CFOs/Controllers, Brand Presidents, HR leadership, and Procurement managers, securing their essential support and collaboration for Group procurement projects.
- Act as the primary liaison with the Group Procurement team in Paris, leading the seamless roll-out of global procurement solutions throughout North America.
- Initiate and steer global procurement projects that align directly with LVMH's corporate strategy.
- Develop and execute a strategic procurement plan for the region, meticulously monitoring its successful implementation and outcomes.
- Actively manage a portfolio of existing global and local procurement contracts, optimizing value and performance.
- Oversee and enhance Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) with key North American suppliers, conducting Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and coordinating executive-level engagements.
- Drive brand participation in Group contracts, ensuring outcomes align with business needs. Regularly assess and quantify generated benefits/savings, identifying innovative solutions to maximize value as business requirements evolve.
- Proactively identify new opportunities for Group procurement solutions, leading the launch and management of RFPs and tenders. Ensure robust implementation of solutions and diligent monitoring of results.
- Consistently inform and engage brands and the Global management team on procurement activities and achieved results, fostering transparency and recognition.
- Lead the North American Procurement community in leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance productivity and uncover strategic opportunities.
- Coordinate global initiatives, including the assessment and reporting on supplier social responsibility.
- Design a comprehensive Procurement Team training program and develop a best practices guide.
Profile
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive procurement experience, with a significant focus on indirect purchasing categories.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy, capable of developing a mid-term strategic plan and assessing necessary resources for its execution.
- Proven ability to cultivate robust relationships with peers and counterparts across affiliates, ensuring active contribution and participation in Group procurement initiatives.
- A natural facilitator with a demonstrated ability to build group consensus and drive collaborative outcomes.
- Extensive experience working within multicultural organizations, possessing a nuanced understanding of both American and European corporate cultures. Thrives in complex, decentralized global environments.
- Proven management experience, including leading a team (e.g., a team of 4 professionals).
- Experience within, or a profound interest in, the Luxury industry.
Location & Reporting Line
This influential position is based in New York, within LVMH Inc., a regional holding company providing corporate services to North American affiliates. The Vice President will report locally to the CFO North America, with a primary reporting line to the Group Global Procurement VP in Paris. This role involves continuous engagement with over 20 Group entities, including subsidiaries of European companies and US parent companies, many headquartered in New York and New Jersey.
Regular travel
Regular travel is required, including frequent trips to California (specifically to Sephora in San Francisco), and occasional travel to Paris, Mexico, and Canada.

$275,000 - $315,000
