Vice President, Global People Operations

Location: Jersey City, NJ – US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $200,000 – $275,000 annually

About the role

This role will lead HR service delivery with a focus on consistent operations, employee support, and scalable people processes. You will partner with global leaders, HR centers of excellence, and functional stakeholders to create consistent practices across teams and regions. The position offers the opportunity to modernize core HR processes while improving the experience for employees and managers within a technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the global People Operations function, encompassing HR operations, compliance, and payroll
• Define and implement a multi-year People Operations strategy aligned with company growth and global priorities
• Set standards for service quality and employee experience across regions
• Drive reduction in manual processes using AI and automation for various employee lifecycle functions
• Integrate People Operations with adjacent systems to eliminate redundancies and enhance workflow efficiency
• Own the evolution of the HR technology platform, ensuring usability and adoption
• Manage global payroll functions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across entities

Qualifications

• 12+ years in People Operations or HR, with significant leadership in global settings; public company experience is a plus
• Proven success in HR process and tech transformation, particularly with automation, AI, and self-service
• Strong business ownership in HRIS platforms like Workday or SAP; experience with product roadmaps is ideal
• Expertise in global payroll operations, compliance, and vendor management; knowledge of EOR models is advantageous
• Familiarity with employment law and HR policy across regions (NA, EMEA, APAC) is essential
• Excellent analytical and project management skills, with experience in data-driven decision-making
• Strong communication skills that foster trust and collaboration across levels and regions
