Our platform, XpertCoding, autonomously codes outpatient medical claims directly from clinical documentation using neural networks, machine learning, and natural language processing. Position SummaryYou will own the finance function at XpertDox. You will be responsible for the monthly close, GAAP financial statements, budgeting and forecasting, board reporting, and tax and compliance, whether you do the work yourself or through an outside firm you select and manage. You report to the CEO and work alongside our fractional CFO, who covers day-to-day CFO responsibilities. You will play a central part in future fundraising: the model, the data room, the metrics, and diligence. The CEO leads our raises, and if you have the experience and appetite to lead one, that path is open. This role is for a hands-on operator who has sat inside a venture raise and kept the books clean through it. It is not for someone whose recent work is supervising a large team or fronting investor pitches. Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role you will:Own the monthly close and GAAP financial statements, executed directly or through an outside firm you select and manage.Own budgeting, forecasting, cash planning, and the operating financial model.Produce board reporting and investor-grade KPI packages on a fixed cadence.Own the finance workstream of each fundraise: data room, metrics package, diligence responses, and cap table accuracy.Own tax, audit, and compliance obligations for XpertDox, Inc.Manage financial coordination with XpertDox India Private Limited (XIPL), including intercompany accounting.Select, manage, and hold accountable any outside accounting, tax, or audit firms.Build the finance processes and controls the company needs as it grows. Required QualificationsHands-on experience from inside a Series B or Series C raise at a venture-backed technology company: you built the model, ran the data room, and answered the diligence, whether or not you led the pitch.Finance leadership at a venture-backed technology company as VP of Finance, Head of Finance, Controller, or CFO.Personal responsibility for monthly close and GAAP reporting.Fluency in SaaS metrics: ARR, net revenue retention, CAC, gross margin, and unit economics.Years of experience matter less than what you have personally carried. A candidate with fewer years who has taken a company through a raise from the inside will be taken seriously. Preferred QualificationsCPA.AI or SaaS company experience.Experience coordinating with India-based finance or delivery teams. Location and ScheduleThis role is on-site at our Scottsdale, Arizona headquarters, Monday through Friday. It is not remote or hybrid. Candidates outside the Phoenix area must relocate before their start date. No travel is required.
