About the role
Vice President, Fiduciary I at BNY Mellon, a leading global financial services company, is seeking a dynamic individual to join the Wealth Management team. This role is based in Pittsburgh, PA.
Responsibilities
- Administers and advises the Wealth Management team on the interpretation of key provisions and duties of BNY Mellon as trustee.
- Coordinates the strategic plan for managing and growing existing client relationships, with a focus on risk management.
- Understands and works with governing trust documents to manage and grow client relationships.
- Maintains open communication with clients, co-trustees, and beneficiaries to ensure adherence to fiduciary standards.
- Assesses and addresses risk-related issues, orchestrating administrative tasks through the Wealth Management team.
- Assists with complex accounts, gaining breadth and depth of knowledge.
- Manages charitable accounts, applying specific knowledge of policies and procedures.
- Evaluates and pursues new business opportunities, generating revenue through increased flows and future fees.
- Frequent and regular interaction with clients, serving as their primary point of contact.
- Administers and plans projects as requested by clients, peers, and strategic opportunities.
- Manages client requests and approvals for discretionary and non-discretionary accounts, including proxy and statement reporting.
- Works with other functional teams to pursue client and COI relationships, generating self-sourced asset inflows.
- Supports the achievement and support of organic growth of assets and revenue goals assigned to the team and practice.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, with an advanced/graduate degree preferred.
- At least 6 years of experience in fiduciary administration, including fiduciary taxation, and managing large client relationships.
- Self-motivated with strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- CTFA, CFP certification preferred.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of estate settlements and probate processes.
- In-depth knowledge of WM’s fiduciary practices, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to evaluate and pursue new business opportunities.
- Experience in client-focused work, including administration and planning projects.
- Strong business development orientation and mindset.

- Strong understanding of fiduciary law and trust documents.
