About the role

We are seeking a Vice President, Corporate Actions to join our team in New York, NY. This role involves managing and overseeing corporate action-related processes, collaborating with teams and clients, leading a team of specialists, conducting cash reconciliations, and serving as a corporate actions expert.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee corporate action-related processes, ensuring accurate and timely execution of various events.
  • Collaborate with teams and clients to address complex issues and provide expert guidance.
  • Contribute to the development of documentation and market practices, while researching and resolving inquiries.
  • Lead and manage a team of corporate actions specialists, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely execution of corporate action events, including dividend payments, reorganizations, and bond redemptions.
  • Conduct thorough cash reconciliations and review security transactions, adhering to strict quality control measures.
  • Serve as a Corporate Actions expert, providing guidance, training, and support to less experienced team members.
  • Meet with organizational units and stakeholders to ensure proper handling of corporate action events and maintain open communication.
  • Research and respond to inquiries from internal and external parties, offering timely and accurate resolutions.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of corporate action-related documentation and market practices.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market practices to enhance corporate action processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business groups, depositories, and clients to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the Corporate Actions department by achieving team objectives and driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, with an advanced degree preferred, such as an MBA or a relevant professional certification.
  • 7-10 years of experience in financial services, with a strong background in corporate actions or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate action procedures, events, and market practices, with a proven track record of successful execution.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and mentor a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Proficiency in using corporate action processing systems and tools, with a willingness to stay updated on industry technology.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a strategic mindset to drive process improvements.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • A deep understanding of the global financial system and its impact on corporate actions, with a focus on risk management.
  • Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Pay
