Vice President – Controller
About the Role
The VP – Controller will lead the global accounting function, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and a comprehensive system of controls designed to mitigate risk. This role enhances the accuracy and timeliness of the company’s reported financial results and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. The VP – Controller will actively participate in ERP improvements aligned with the LVMH – Tiffany roadmap, including integration into the Group Reporting system, and serve as a key business partner to senior management and business leaders.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership over global accounting, revenue recognition, financial reporting, sale audit, payroll, and systems for the Company.
- Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with appropriate standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the development and implementation of systems, policies, internal controls, and processes to support the business.
- Responsible for the implementation of new accounting standards and review/remediation of existing requirements.
- Ensure accounting issue resolution by collaborating across different businesses and engaging multiple stakeholders.
- Act as the key stakeholder for integrating the accounting function into the LVMH ecosystem, both in terms of Accounting Principles and Reporting System.
- Ensure proper organizational structure is in place to meet assigned responsibilities and deliverables.
- Develop and manage the accounting team, providing guidance and support.
- Foster collaboration with peers in global finance and other cross-functional departments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of experience as an accounting leader and business partner in complex and dynamic organizations.
- Experience in the retail industry.
- Exceptional business acumen and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Diverse leadership experience, including the ability to influence, collaborate, develop, and coach others.
- Proficiency in French (preferred).
Pay
The hiring range for this position is $275,000–$350,000. Management is also eligible for a bonus. The salary offered will depend on the candidate’s relevant skills and experience.
