Vice President, Construction

About the role

As Vice President, you will lead JLL PDS’s dedicated program team supporting a large scale, long-duration federal development program in the Virginia Beach area. You will own the executive-level client relationship, oversee a team of Senior Project Managers and Project Managers, and represent JLL in senior client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead JLL’s program team, with accountability for staffing, delivery, and client satisfaction.
• Own the executive-level client relationship.
• Represent JLL in senior client engagements on program strategy, risk, and performance.
• Manage vendor performance across the program, including program-level cost and schedule management.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor Senior Project Managers and Project Managers on the team.
• Coordinate with JLL leadership on staffing, financial performance, and reporting.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to expand JLL’s role with the client and adjacent federal counterparts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 10+ years of construction project management experience, including ground-up construction and significant leadership roles.
• Direct NAVFAC project experience with a track record of leading Department of Defense construction programs.
• Multi-family residential development experience in a developer or owner’s representative capacity.
• Demonstrated experience managing vendors on programs of comparable scale, including managing counterparty teams of approximately 50 personnel.
• Change order review and approval authority experience on programs of significant scale.
• Proven ability to interact with military leadership at the Pentagon and general officer level.
• Team leadership experience managing Senior Project Managers and Project Managers.
• Willingness to work onsite in Virginia Beach area five days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP certification and/or advanced degree (MBA, MS).
• Prior leadership on Public-Private Venture (PPV) military housing programs or student housing privatation initiations.
• Established relationships within NAVFAC, OSD, or Navy installation leadership.
• Business development experience within federal and DoD markets.
