Vice President, Communications Consulting Leader

About the role

This role manages and leads a team of Communications Consultants (CCs) who are responsible for client consulting, design and execution of benefits communication and education efforts for plan sponsors.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively coach high-level individual contributors on strategic consultation with clients to highlight our value proposition and increase client satisfaction.
  • Build positive relationships with internal business partners and influence others to provide support and assist with issues.
  • Periodically interact with clients to support CCs, help resolve issues, customer concerns and compliance monitoring.
  • Bring innovative ideas to the group, be willing to try new things and lead broad-based initiatives.
  • Recruiting, leading and developing a strong team; providing continuous feedback and formal reviews during quarter and year-end review cycles.
  • Create a culture that values and rewards contributions, drive, initiative, and achievement of results.
  • Collaborate with other C&E leaders and key business partners in service of clients, participants, associates, and the firm.
  • Review key performance indicator metrics and trends to ensure that satisfaction, risk, and quality is effectively managed; drive action plans and hold teams accountable for results.
  • Supervise registered representatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Required or equivalent with 12-15 years of experience.
  • 7+ years of management experience is required.
  • Experience in employee benefits communication and/or financial services required.
  • Series 7, 63 and 24 required or attained within 90 days of hire.
  • Strong leadership, facilitation, influencing, decision-making and team building skills.
  • Deep collaboration and partnership focus.
  • Client servicing skills and experience, including escalation management.
  • Change management experience.
  • Ability to hire, manage, coach, and develop a diverse team across multiple geographical locations.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, matrix management environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and advise senior leaders.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The role is typically based at Fidelity's headquarters, but may require occasional travel to meet with clients and colleagues.
