About the role

ENAI is building the biological future of crop protection and plant performance by combining deep biological expertise, proprietary intelligence, and more than 7,500 field trials to deliver practical biological solutions that help farmers protect crop potential, improve plant performance, and realize more from every acre. This Vice President will collaborate with experts across science, agriculture, technology, and commercial innovation to translate biological insights into field-ready solutions, working across disciplines to address meaningful challenges in agriculture and bring new ideas from discovery to the field.

Responsibilities

  • Commercial Strategy & Revenue Ownership
    • Own North America revenue, gross margin, and market-share targets for the biological portfolio across corn, soy, and tree fruit/vegetable/non-crop verticals.
    • Translate the corporate commercial strategy into an executable regional plan with clear territory, account, and channel objectives.
    • Build annual operating plans, forecasts, and pipeline reporting; manage the commercial P&L with rigor and transparency.
  • Channel & Partnership Development
    • Build and scale strategic partnerships across distribution, Ag Chem, and seed companies, expanding ENAI’s route to market while protecting and growing revenue.
    • Advance key relationships from prospect through signed, scaled agreements.
  • Market & Segment Expansion
    • Expand the biological portfolio beyond core crops into broader row crops, high-value fruit & vegetable (HVF&V), and non-crop segments through partner channels.
    • Support ENAI’s growth in the Canadian market, building channel relationships and navigating regulatory pathways.
  • Innovation & New Product Development
    • Establish the regional innovation and new product development agenda, developing and championing proposals informed by grower needs, channel feedback, and competitive gaps.
    • Partner with R&D, Product, and Marketing to prioritize pipeline investment and shape the regional portfolio roadmap.
  • Go-to-Market Execution
    • Direct the regional sales and key account management teams to deliver against early-order programs, season-timing windows, and grower demand-generation goals across both owned brands and partner channels.
    • Position biological products against conventional seed treatments and competitive biologicals, articulating the season-long protection value proposition to channel and grower audiences.
    • Deploy value-based pricing grounded in yield-uplift economics and distribution channel margin logic.
  • Organization & Leadership
    • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing commercial organization including sales, KAM, and commercial operations functions.
    • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Regulatory, and Agronomy to align messaging, launch readiness, and field support.
    • Establish commercial operating cadences, performance metrics, and talent development practices that scale with the business.

Qualifications

  • Required
    • 15+ years of progressive commercial leadership in agricultural inputs—crop protection, seed, seed treatment, or biologicals—with full P&L ownership.
    • Demonstrated success building and scaling partnerships across distribution, Ag Chem, and seed companies in North America; experience growing channel-led business models strongly preferred.
    • Deep fluency in distributor margin economics, value-based pricing, and go-to-market models for agricultural inputs.
    • Proven record leading and developing commercial teams across multiple crops and geographies.
    • Strong negotiation, executive communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Preferred
    • Working knowledge of biological crop protection and the agronomic value of biostimulants, biological seed treatments, biofungicides, and bionematicides.
    • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing biologicals and crop inputs (e.g., EPA FIFRA/BPPD).
    • Experience commercializing platform or embedded-ingredient business models and expanding into adjacent segments (HVF&V, non-crop).
    • Familiarity with the Canadian ag inputs market and PMRA regulatory pathways.
    • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or technical) a plus.

What Success Looks Like

  • Year 1: Strong new distribution, Ag Chem, and seed partnerships established; revenue and margin targets met; and the regional NPD agenda established.
  • Years 2–3: Scaled partner channels, growth in the Canadian market, expansion into new segments, and accelerating share gains for the biological portfolio.
