Job Summary

The Vice President, Cloud & Application Transformation at Netsmart leads enterprise-wide modernization efforts, driving the evolution of the company's application ecosystem towards scalable, cloud-native, and AI-enabled solutions. This role is critical to the technology leadership team and requires strong leadership in engineering or architecture, experience in enterprise cloud and application transformation, and expertise in Azure and AWS.

About the Role

This is a high-impact, onsite leadership role in Overland Park, KS, with matrix leadership responsibility across the Global Capability Center (GCC) in Hebbal, India. The role involves defining and executing cloud and application transformation strategy, leading modernization initiatives, guiding development practices towards cloud-native engineering models, championing AI/ML and data-driven innovation, operating in a highly matrixed organization, and influencing all levels.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute enterprise cloud and application transformation strategy
• Lead App → Cloud modernization initiatives and platform re-architecture
• Drive adoption of microservices, APIs, event-driven and domain-driven design
• Guide development practices toward cloud-native engineering models
• Own architecture direction across Azure and AWS
• Champion AI/ML and data-driven innovation
• Operate effectively within a matrixed organization influencing all levels
• Provide matrix leadership across GCC teams in Hebbal, India
• Act as a hands-on, agile leader working alongside teams when needed

Qualifications

• VP/Sr Director level leadership in engineering or architecture
• Experience leading enterprise cloud and application transformation
• Strong App/Dev to Cloud modernization experience
• Expertise in Azure/AWS and distributed systems
• Ability to operate in a highly matrixed organization
• Hands-on, agile leadership approach
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare technology experience
• Experience with GCC/India teams
• AI/ML or LLM integration experience
• Kubernetes and modern data platforms
• Cloud certifications
