About the role
SS&C Health is seeking a strategic, client-focused executive to lead our Client Success organization. The Vice President of Client Success is responsible for developing and executing the strategy that drives long-term client satisfaction, retention, growth, and advocacy across our health plan, PBM, provider, and healthcare technology clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the overall Client Success strategy across SS&C Health's client portfolio.
- Build trusted executive relationships with C-suite leaders at strategic client organizations.
- Serve as executive sponsor for key accounts, leading governance, executive business reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
- Ensure clients achieve measurable business outcomes and maximize the value of their SS&C Health investment.
- Establish a disciplined Client Health framework utilizing operational, financial, relationship, and adoption metrics.
- Drive client retention while identifying expansion and cross-sell opportunities in partnership with Sales.
- Lead renewal strategy and commercial planning across strategic accounts.
- Proactively identify risks and implement recovery plans before issues impact client satisfaction.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Client Success organization.
- Foster a culture of accountability, proactive communication, continuous improvement, and client advocacy.
- Drive consistency in governance, account planning, success metrics, and executive communications.
- Partner closely with Product, Operations, Professional Services, Sales, and Support to deliver a seamless client experience.
- Develop executive-level account strategies aligned with client priorities and SS&C Health growth objectives.
- Lead complex client negotiations and strategic commercial discussions.
- Influence organizational priorities by bringing forward market insights, client feedback, and emerging opportunities.
- Champion process improvements that improve client outcomes and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in Client Success, Account Management, Professional Services, Healthcare Operations, or related fields.
- Experience leading enterprise healthcare technology or healthcare services client relationships.
- Demonstrated success managing executive relationships with health plans, PBMs, providers, or healthcare organizations.
- Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional organizations through complex initiatives.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting renewals, growth, and contract negotiations.
- Exceptional executive communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
Qualifications
- Healthcare payer, pharmacy benefit management (PBM), or healthcare technology experience.
- Experience with SaaS, healthcare administration platforms, claims systems, pharmacy technology, or digital health solutions.
- Leading organizations responsible for strategic accounts with significant recurring revenue.
- Experience implementing Client Success methodologies and client health measurement frameworks.

- Base salary range: $190,000 USD to $230,000 USD depending on location.
- Discretionary bonus and/or equity awards, such as restricted stock units or stock options, based upon individual and business performance.
