Vice President, Client Processing Manager - Trade Finance Operations
About the role
The Vice President, Client Processing Manager role is located in Pittsburgh, PA. This role involves leading multiple Trade Finance Operations teams servicing clients from APAC, Poland, and US locations. Responsibilities include providing quality support in facilitating transactions and processes, managing multiple transformational projects, ensuring best-practice approaches for streamlining and optimizing processes, applying in-depth knowledge and expertise on service offerings, and mitigating inherent and residual risks.
Responsibilities
- Facilitating transactions and processes for clients from APAC, Poland, and US locations.
- Managing multiple transformational projects involving various stakeholders.
- Ensuring best-practice approaches for streamlining and optimizing processes through workflow design and technology.
- Applying in-depth knowledge and expertise on service offerings, proactive assessment, and resolution of complex transaction issues.
- Providing oversight on multiple projects in parallel to aid the teams in achieving business objectives.
- Participating in the risk and control committee and mitigating inherent and residual risks of the processes.
- Aiding the Product and Relationship teams on client-based solutions and strategic business cases.
- Designing and creating process guides and manuals for the process.
- Acting as an escalation point for complex problems and guiding less experienced staff in resolving them.
- Crafting solutions and methods to resolve issues at hand and similar issues in the future.
- Ensuring teams are equipped to operate and attain team and organizational objectives.
- Managing the human resources of the team, including recruitment, training, coaching, performance management, and career development.
- Managing the financial resources of the team (budgets, expenses, etc.).
- Collaborating with clients to craft Letters of Credit or Standby LC/Guarantees.
- Providing comprehensive training to the team in issuance, confirmation vetting, and document examination processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field required.
- Advanced degree or professional certifications in finance or business administration preferred.
- Typically 5-8 years of experience in transaction processing or related field within financial services.
- Experience in Letters of Credit, Document Examination, Standby LC, guarantees function well versed with UCP, URDG, and ISP guidelines.
- Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.
- Trade Certifications (example: CDCS, CSDG etc.) is an added advantage.
- A strong knowledge of Sanctions, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Boycott guidelines, as well as their relevance to Trade Finance, is highly desirable.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment, leading a team is required.

Pay
The expected base salary for this position when employment commences can be found in the Job Info section at the bottom of the posting. Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award.
