About the role
The Vice President and Campus Dean oversees two non-residential campuses with strong enrollments in first responder programs, concurrent enrollment programs, English as a Second Language, and fine arts. The campuses also maintain robust enrollments in non-credit/community education programs. The position oversees a community collaboration site in Basalt and off-campus instruction in various locations across the Roaring Fork Valley.
Responsibilities
- Provide direction to develop organizational, leadership, and diversity initiatives that promote a culture of professional excellence and accountability
- Collaborate with other leadership groups to further the college’s vision
- Develop collaborative relationships including working with senior level administrators at the campus and within the College, as well as faculty, staff, students, community organizations and leaders, governmental, regulatory and agency representatives, and the general public
- Lead and participate in design and delivery of short, intermediate, and long-range strategic planning
- Advance the success of all learners at the college
- Develop and implement programs, policies, and initiatives
- Oversee curriculum development, delivery, and instruction
- Promote collaborative decision-making
- Coordinate and support Foundation and overall college advancement and marketing activities
- Ensure the consistent delivery of policies, practices, and systems of internal control necessary to comply with federal, state, and other legal reporting requirements
Requirements
- Sound executive-level management skills
- Productive, positive experiences working with diverse communities and leading employees of various backgrounds

- Success partnering with external organizations to solve community needs
- Adaptability and a disposition toward flexibility
- Knowledge of and experience with managing a complex organization
- Direct experience leading an academic unit in a multi-campus (system) environment
- An understanding of applied and community education programming
- Successful experience working with K-12, business, local government, and/or non-profit partners
- Demonstrated education and experience sufficient for the rigors of the position
Qualifications
- Graduate education from an accredited institution
- Minimum of seven years or relevant executive or senior level experience
- Ten years’ experience in complex organizations preferred
Skills
- Knowledge of current principles, practices, and trends in leadership, organizational development, and management
- Higher education budgeting and fiscal oversight
- State and federal laws, codes and regulations covering higher educational institutions
- Trends and developments in technology which have campus and/or district-wide implications
- Ability to lead campuses through multi-faceted opportunities
- Facilitate cooperation through discussion and consensus-building
- Identify and respond to public and Board of Trustees issues and concerns
- Ability to provide leadership in the areas of integrity and ethics in order to implement institutional goals
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Establish cooperative working relationships in the course of performing assigned duties

Pay
$164,631.24 - $182,923.62 annual salary depending upon a combination of education and experience.
