About the role

Drive profitable growth across micronization, spray drying, and inhalation technologies. Lead global business development and strategic account management to deliver sustainable growth and long-term customer value. Partner with cross-functional teams to align strategy, execution, and operational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the global commercial strategy aligned with business plans and financial objectives.
  • Translate market demand and competitive dynamics into actionable growth priorities and account strategies.
  • Shape and refine the value proposition, focusing on lifecycle continuity, speed to clinic, and scalability.
  • Own and grow executive-level relationships with key biotech and pharmaceutical customers.
  • Lead and close complex, multi-year commercial agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, and long-term supply agreements.
  • Co-own pricing strategy and deal structures to meet growth and margin targets.
  • Ensure contracts balance competitiveness, feasibility, and profitability.
  • Oversee global sales pipeline governance and maintain disciplined operating cadence.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, and Program Management to ensure commercial commitments are achievable.
  • Provide oversight for onboarding and governance of new customers and major expansions.
  • Collaborate on market intelligence and capacity planning to optimize growth.
  • Build and lead a high-performing global business development team with strong succession planning.
  • Establish a culture of accountability, collaboration, and disciplined execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical discipline; advanced degree such as Master of Science or Master of Business Administration preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience within contract development and manufacturing organizations, biopharma services, or related life sciences sectors.
  • Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (including participation in Catalent-sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience.

Skills

  • Experience with micronization, spray drying, and/or inhalation technologies preferred.

Pay

The annual pay range for this position is $250,000–300,000 in New Jersey and California. The final salary offered may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, and business needs.
