Vice President, Business Development

This senior leadership role is responsible for driving strategic growth across government and commercial markets through high-impact business development and relationship management. You will play a pivotal role in expanding a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of mission support services by identifying, shaping, and closing new contracting opportunities. Acting as a key revenue leader within the organization, you will leverage an established network across federal agencies, defense, and commercial sectors to influence long-term pipeline growth. The role requires a balance of strategic foresight, disciplined execution, and strong stakeholder engagement in complex, highly regulated environments. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to align business development efforts with organizational priorities and capture strategies. This is a remote role with significant autonomy and periodic travel to support client engagement and industry presence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field required; MBA preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in sales, business development, or capture management, including at least 5 years in federal government contracting.
- Proven success working with or selling into U.S. federal agencies, defense, or related regulated contracting environments.
- Strong experience with 8(a), IDIQ, or other federal contracting vehicles highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build and leverage senior-level networks to generate and close strategic opportunities.
- Strong understanding of complex sales cycles, capture planning, and government procurement processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with executive-level stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams) and CRM systems.
- Able to manage multiple high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required for client engagement, conferences, and business development activities.
