Duties
- Develop budgets, monitor attainment, pursue receipt of revenues, and oversee expenditures to achieve corporate goals.
- Manage risks in the execution of services decreasing exposure to litigation, unauthorized scope creep, and out of scope performance.
- Provide quarterly and annual revenue projections and monitor achievement of goals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients.
- Lead, or participate in, regional office business development programs.
- Prepare, assist in preparing and/or approve proposals and qualification statements.
- Act as consultant to departments, project managers, and regional office principles.
- Serve as Project Manager, Project Principle or Project Director.
- Implement and oversee compliance with administrative activities including human resources, training programs, and health and safety.
- Plan, schedule, coordinate, monitor and report on service delivery to clients.
- Identify needs for, and evaluate development of, personnel competency.
- Review implementation of established procedures and implement preventive and corrective actions for compliance.
- Initiate and support quality management activities and performance management measures to provide high quality services.
- Protect RKI’s confidential financial, business and marketing plans, financial records, and tactical and strategic operating plans.
- Establish a positive and progressive culture within the RKI office and project locations that maximizes overall corporate performance and staff development.
- Technical and professional development of staff.
- Maintenance of license and/or certifications at the time of employment or obtained during employment.
- Interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate assignments.
- Assign work priority tasks to assigned direct reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- P.E. License in applicable state, or if out of state must obtain P.E. license in applicable state within 6 months of hire.
- Twenty-five (25) years progressively responsible experience in transportation engineering with fifteen (15) years of experience in personnel, service delivery, and financial management.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license within the applicable jurisdiction and meet firm’s auto insurability requirements.
- Good oral and written communications skills and ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external personnel.
- Intermediate in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Able to travel to project sites and maneuver over rough and uneven terrain.
