Vice President
Vice President with full profit-and-loss accountability for a branch office, leading sales, business development, customer relationships, project execution, and team leadership.
About the role
The Vice President is responsible for managing all branch office operations—sales, business development, customer relationships, project management, and administration—with full P&L responsibility. The VP leverages the BluSky brand to cultivate industry relationships that generate new business opportunities and leads a team to meet sales, revenue, and customer-service targets.
Responsibilities
- Manage overall P&L at the office level to drive profitability:
- Meet or exceed office sales, revenue, and EBITDA goals.
- Manage expenses against established budgets.
- Hold team accountable to job-specific, minimum target margins.
- Ensure system utilization and data integrity.
- Drive overall office sales and revenue:
- Support sales teams in developing new business through professional trade-partner relationships and referral channels (property management, ownership, asset/portfolio/facility management, brokers, insurance adjusters, consultants, architects, engineers, managed insurance repair programs, etc.).
- Accelerate project schedules and revenue to meet or exceed monthly targets.
- Participate in business-development activities and relationship building.
- Management and human resources:
- Support recruiting efforts to identify and attract top talent.
- Ensure employee development and retention through coaching, training, and mentoring.
- Implement new-hire orientation and performance-management planning in partnership with HR.
- Foster BluSky Best Practices and company culture.
- Oversee timekeeping, payroll management, and regulatory/safety compliance.
- Operations:
- Acquire, maintain, and protect company assets.
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences and satisfaction.
- Enforce proper project-management practices.
- Manage weekly production and WIP reports.
- Control office budget and expenses.
- Ensure compliance with management software and systems.
- Follow federal, state, and local employment, OSHA, IICRC, MSDS, and safety laws.
- Maintain BluSky paperwork and file documentation (contracts, work authorizations, subcontractor agreements).
- Manage accounts receivable and payable per company goals.
- Oversee project schedules and adherence to start/completion dates to drive revenue.
- General responsibilities:
- Achieve training goals and minimum attendance as established by BluSky.
- Adhere to all company Best Practices.
- Provide the highest level of customer service.
- Lead and cultivate a positive office culture.
- Perform all other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
- 5+ years insurance restoration experience preferred.
- 3+ years management experience preferred.
- Strong business development experience with a proven track record of success.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, internal and external contacts throughout the project-management process.
- Must be able to attend business-development networking functions as required.
- Must be able to travel in response to project needs and leadership functions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms such as LinkedIn.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience required.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
The work environment is typically quiet. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is required to regularly move and walk around the office.
Travel
Minimal travel. Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected for training or meetings.
Pay
- Base salary: $125,000 – $160,000.
- Commission OTE range: $60,000 – $250,000.
