About the role
Vice President at Accordion leads the Strategic Finance Practice, helping Finance teams enhance performance visibility, planning activities, data analytics, and business partnering. This role works with a diverse set of colleagues from private equity, investment banking, FP&A, Big 4, and financial controllership to address complex issues.
Responsibilities

Identify and rectify issues across a broad range of scenarios, such as:
- Determining data availability and reliability and designing a structured process to aggregate relevant data sets for a financial services company emerging from bankruptcy.
- Completing a diagnostic deep dive into budgeting and forecasting processes for a higher education enterprise scaling through acquisitions.
- Designing a singular finance function for a PE sponsor consolidating operations and establishing a new CFO.

Work collaboratively with a diverse set of colleagues to deliver reports, presentations, and memos, presenting data-driven insights clearly and comprehensively.

Manage multiple complex workstreams while focusing on one's own, leading by example and seeking guidance when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA is a plus
- Minimum 6 years of experience at a top-tier private equity firm, investment bank, and/or consulting firm
- High attention to detail and advanced quantitative skills, especially in financial modeling and corporate valuation
- Proven ability to leverage Excel and other tools (e.g. PowerBI) to manage, simplify, analyze, and present large and complex datasets
- Transactional and operational finance experience
- Prior experience preparing reports, presentations, and memos
- Strong drive and motivation, adhering to the highest professional standards
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a team-oriented environment

Benefits
Annual salary ranges from $153,000 to $210,000 USD + benefits + bonus.

Schedule
This role is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work remotely 2 days a week. Ideal candidates should be local to the desired location.
