Vice President, Associate General Counsel, Content Acquisitions

This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure the professional development of the Content Acquisitions Legal team
• Analyze legal issues and communicate effectively with business stakeholders to support the company’s goals
• Implement process improvements and efficiencies for the Content Acquisitions Legal team
• Negotiate content license and distribution agreements while ensuring best practices are followed
• Maintain communication with stakeholders on negotiation progress and escalate issues appropriately
• Build strong partnerships with internal teams, third-party partners, and colleagues
• Support overflow work for other Legal team verticals as necessary

Qualifications

• 15+ years' legal experience in an established law firm and in entertainment, media, advertising, and/or technology sector
• 5+ years' experience managing and developing a team of attorneys
• Demonstrated expertise in negotiating and drafting content acquisition and distribution agreements
• Understanding of digital rights management challenges and practices
• Strong communication skills for conveying complex legal concepts clearly to stakeholders

Pay

$252,300 – $360,500 annually
