About the role

The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching responsibilities may include teaching Penn medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Provide care of patients in the outpatient and inpatient settings at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC), Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH) and/or Penn Medicine at Radnor (PMR).
  • Perform clinical responsibilities including seeing patients in clinic and performing endoscopy procedures.
  • Oversee the clinical programs in gastroenterology, hepatology and endoscopy across the 3 hospitals.
  • Build on an enormous foundation of excellence, which currently performs over 44,000 outpatient clinic visits and over 34,000 endoscopic procedures.
  • Develop innovative ways for the clinical practice in the Division.
  • Provide management and/or leadership.

Requirements

  • An M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
  • Board certification in Gastroenterology.

Qualifications

  • Experience in gastroenterology, hepatology, and endoscopy.
  • Strong teaching and clinical skills.
  • Ability to manage and lead clinical programs.

Pay

Rank will be commensurate with experience.
