About the role
This temporary position involves paraprofessional work assisting the classroom teacher in performing a variety of tasks. The assignment duration is dependent on program needs and availability of funding.
Responsibilities
- Assist with emergency plans
- Support health-related plans and services
- Implement behavioral plans
- Carry out instructional procedures
Supervision
Work is performed under the direct supervision of the classroom teacher and/or building administrator, and/or the appropriate Special Education Department administrator.
Interpersonal expectations
The employee must interact with students, parents, and staff in a positive manner.
