About the role
PHI Air Medical (operating under CAMTS guidelines) seeks pilots for AS350 VFR/NVG aircraft in a 24‑hour day/night rotation. Applicants must complete a 1‑year minimum service requirement (replacement service requirement of 2 years if relocation); relocation package available.
Responsibilities
- Perform line pilot duties per Guest Operating Manual.
- Support Safety Management System, Destination Zero and other safety campaigns.
- Adhere to PHI Air Medical policies and participate in community outreach programs.
- Assist in loading and unloading of patients and equipment (some lifting required).
- Work with internal and external customers to provide safe, efficient, courteous and reliable service.
Qualifications
- Commercial and Instrument Helicopter Ratings.
- First Class Medical and CAMTS requirement.
- 2,000 total flight hours, including 1,500 hours on helicopters, 1,000 hours PIC helicopter, 500 hours turbine helicopter, 100 hours unaided night operations or 50 unaided + 100 NVG hours.
- Weight restriction: individual weight not to exceed 235 lbs.
- Strong communication and internal/external customer service skills.
- Pre‑placement physical exam (functional capacity exam, ability to lift 100 lbs), drug screening and background check.
Schedule
7/7 day, with base schedule changes and possible schedule changes. Must reside within a 1‑hour commute of the base.
Pay
Competitive pay, shift bonuses, shift incentives, annual safety bonus, annual employee bonus, and a sign‑on bonus up to $50,000.
