The position oversees academic programs, focusing on student experience, success, and academic quality. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing retention strategies, managing students, coordinating faculty activities, and ensuring compliance with accreditation regulations.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in a Term or Terms
- Develop, implement, and conduct assessments on program and course student learning outcomes
- Coordinate faculty activities and trainings
- Manage faculty scheduling within the program
- Assist with faculty selection and interview process
- Develop and evaluate sites for clinical education, externship, and preceptorship as applicable
- Maintain faculty substitute listings and contact information
- Coordinate new faculty orientation and program-specific orientations for students
- Conduct assessments of all class sessions as required by policy
- Manage and maintain a sufficient inventory of program equipment and supplies
- Coordinate textbook orders for the program
- Facilitate monthly programmatic faculty meetings, advisory committee meetings, and curriculum review meetings
- Prepare accreditation reports and reviews as required by the program
- Maintain records, reports, examinations, data, fees, and other program specific items
- Monitor and maintain compliance with applicable institutional, governmental, and accreditation standards
- Complete other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Associate degree as a Veterinary Technician from an AVMA- or CVMA-accredited program, OR Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an AVMA- or CVMA-accredited program
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license, or state Veterinarian license and DEA license
- 3 years' field experience
- 1 year of teaching, administration, or clinical supervision, or a combination thereof, within the last 5 years

- Required certificates, licenses, and registrations for the course(s) they are to teach
Benefits
Compensation: Starting pay range is $85,000 - $95,000 annually.
