Veterinary Technician - Veterinary Urgent Care Center Dedham

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and obtain patient histories
• Place IV catheters and perform venipuncture
• Administer medications and injections
• Collect diagnostic samples and perform laboratory procedures
• Perform ultrasound-guided cystocentesis
• Maintain patient records and communicate with clients
• Absorb and assist with same-day surgical procedures
• Provide emergency stabilization before transfer when necessary

Requirements

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program
• A current state license in good standing
• One year of experience in a veterinary setting, urgent care or emergency experience is a plus
• Proficiency in a range of technical skills, including emergency procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and critical care nursing
• A calm, efficient, and decisive approach during medical emergencies
• Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively under pressure

Qualifications

Pay

Pay range of $27.00 - $29.00/hr based on experience.

Schedule

Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Saturday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Sunday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
