Certified Veterinary Technician - Veterinary Urgent Care Center Dedham
About the role
Veterinary Urgent Care Center (VUCC) – Dedham, MA is a three-doctor urgent care practice located at 926 Providence Highway, Dedham, MA 02026. We are part of a supportive national network committed to fostering professional growth for all teammates.
Responsibilities
- Obtain patient histories and perform triage assessments
- Place IV catheters and perform venipuncture
- Administer medications and injections
- Collect diagnostic samples and perform in-house laboratory testing
- Perform ultrasound-guided cystocentesis
- Maintain accurate records and communicate with clients regarding patient care and treatment plans
- Collaborate closely with veterinarians to provide exceptional urgent care medicine
Requirements
- Current state license in good standing as a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)
- Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program
- Experience in a veterinary setting, with urgent care or emergency experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Qualifications
- Proven ability to handle a wide range of technical skills, including emergency procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and critical care nursing
- Confidence in working with animals of all temperaments in a fast-paced environment
- A calm, efficient, and decisive approach during medical emergencies

Pay
Competitive hourly rate or salary based on experience and role.
Schedule
This Position Includes:
- Monday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Friday: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Every other Saturday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Hospital Hours:
- Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM
- Saturday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Sunday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
