Veterinary Technician - Surgery/Dentistry
About the role
VCA Veterinary Specialists of the Valley is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to complement our talented surgery team in Woodland Hills, California. The position is in our Surgery Department, full-time, 10-hour shifts 4 days/week, and the flexibility to work at least one weekend shift.
Responsibilities
- Navigate high-paced workflow with a sense of urgency
- Support advanced medicine with a unified, supportive, like-minded team and dedicated hospital leadership
- Perform skills including: Surgery, Dentistry, Venipuncture, Catheter placement, Radiology & CT, Anesthesia set up & monitoring, Knowledge of surgical protocols & procedures, Patient Assessment, Laboratory processing, Pharmacy, Patient recovery, Bandage and cast placement
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Able to be part of a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Comfortable to ask for help & clarification when needed
- Possesses close attention to detail
- Able to perform skills including: Surgery, Dentistry, Venipuncture, Catheter placement, Radiology & CT, Anesthesia set up & monitoring, Knowledge of surgical protocols & procedures, Patient Assessment, Laboratory processing, Pharmacy, Patient recovery, Bandage and cast placement
