About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Technician Supervisor to lead a dynamic team of veterinary professionals in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will excel in training, mentoring, and advancing veterinary skills while fostering a collaborative and proactive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a mentor to lower-level staff by demonstrating positive work habits, effective clinical skills, and business knowledge.
- Coach team members to anticipate and address patient and client needs, and seek assistance with escalated or stressful situations.
- Work with hospital leadership to organize technician and assistant meetings.
- Organize training schedules for technician staff.
- Identify conflicts in the workplace and seek assistance in resolution.
- Provide leadership feedback and develop performance improvement plans.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Advanced veterinary skills and experience.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead by example and mentor teammates.
- Passion for teamwork and providing excellent patient care.
- Unrestricted, current authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring future sponsorship for an employment-based green card.
Pay
Starting pay ranges from $32 to $49 per hour, dependent on experience and advancement through the Kahuna leveling system. Competitive shift differential pay is offered for eligible hours worked:
- Mon–Fri: 6pm to 8am = $4.00 shift differential (4-hour minimum).
- Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.50 shift differential (4-hour minimum).
- Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $4.00 shift differential (4-hour minimum).
Schedule
Swing/Overnight shifts.
