Veterinary Technician Supervisor - Day or Evening Shift in ECC Department

Qualified candidates will have previous supervisory or leadership experience and experience working in emergency veterinary medicine. Responsibilities

• Participate in the hiring, training, and coaching and performance evaluation process for all ECC Service Staff.
• Create work schedules, prepare payroll, and process personnel records for Inpatient Service Staff.
• Must have a working knowledge of complex diseases in order to provide nursing care and develop and train members of the ECC team.
• Assist clinicians in triaging, stabilizing, and providing high quality nursing care to patients and offer instruction and demonstration to veterinary students, interns, residents, and other technicians.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be a Certified Veterinary Technician within the state of Massachusetts to be considered for this position.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent veterinary technician experience.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with interviewing, scheduling, training, payroll and inventory is preferred.
• Associates degree or better required.
• Previous Animal Handling Experience required.

Pay & Schedule

• Full Time Day or Evening Shift (2:30pm-1am), Rotating Weekends, not major holidays.
• $2.50/hr additional shift differential for evening shift.
• Compensation: Starting at $35-$39 hourly, VTS starting at $43/hr. Candidates with additional experience or credentials may be eligible for compensation aligned with their qualifications.
