As a member of the VCA team, you will support Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so we can provide exceptional care to every patient. You’ve worked hard for your credentials (CVT, RVT, LVT), and we want you to use the knowledge that you’ve invested your time and talent in.

Responsibilities

• Supervisory duties:
  • Team training, development, and support
  • Implementing department policies and procedures
  • Scheduling staff and conducting team meetings
  • Accurately handling and recording controlled drugs
  • Record keeping
  • Marketing
  • Facility maintenance
• Veterinary Technician Skills:
  • Physical examinations and patient assessment
  • Anesthesia monitoring / Surgical preparation and assisting / Patient recovery
  • Dentistry
  • Radiology
  • Laboratory work
  • Venipuncture / Catheter placement
  • Pharmacy
  • Compassionate care of our hospitalized animals
  • Diagnostic Imaging
  • Client education and communication

To become accredited, our hospital undergoes regular comprehensive evaluations by AAHA veterinary experts who evaluate the practice on approximately 900 standards of veterinary care.

Pay

$26 - 32 / hour, dependent on education, experience, credentials, location, nature of practice, schedule, and additional responsibilities.
