Responsibilities

• Actively assist the medical team with patient care, including hands-on technical tasks under direct supervision.
• Observe and participate in a variety of veterinary procedures to gain practical clinical experience.
• Collaborate with experienced veterinarians, credentialed technicians, and support staff to enhance your skills through guidance and feedback.
• Support daily hospital operations, including patient intake and discharge processes.
• Develop professional skills in communication, clinical protocols, and teamwork within a dynamic veterinary environment.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in an AVMA CVTEA-accredited Veterinary Technician/Nursing program.
• Eligibility to participate in an externship as required by your academic program.
• Strong desire to learn, a positive attitude, and adaptability in a clinical setting.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and restrain animals, and handle clinical instruments.
