About the role
Veterinary Technician - Recovery position at Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital in Plymouth Meeting, PA. Full‑time role with a $2,000 retention bonus.
Responsibilities
- Help recover post‑surgery patients for all departments.
- Assist inpatient teams with recovered surgical patients.
- Support the anesthesia team: induce for surgery, set up ORs, and clean and sterilize instruments.
Requirements
- Experience in a fast‑paced specialty, emergency, or surgical setting.
- Strong clinical skills including IV catheter placement, venipuncture, and understanding of pharmacology/anesthesia protocols.
- Confidence in anesthesia monitoring and patient assessment.

Pay
Starting compensation $20–$23 per hour, based on experience and credentials, plus a $2,000 retention bonus.
Schedule
Four 10‑hour days Monday–Friday with rotating weekend days; occasional holidays may be required.
