About the role
Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our Radiation Oncology team in Brandon, and Clearwater FL locations. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility that combines advanced medicine with compassionate care.
Responsibilities
- Administer radiation treatments to pets diagnosed with cancer
- Prepare, maintain, and operate specialized radiation therapy equipment, including the Varian Truebeam linear accelerator
- Maintain patient comfort and safety during treatment sessions
- Document patient responses and communicate any changes to the veterinary team
- Support pets and their families throughout the treatment journey with empathy and understanding
Requirements
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT) preferred
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic, particularly in oncology or radiation therapy, is a plus but we welcome enthusiastic newcomers!
- Some travel between our Clearwater and Brandon hospitals required
