Veterinary Technician - Overnight

About the role

This role is designed for experienced Overnight Licensed Veterinary Technicians who are looking to support the Emergency and Urgent Care services at PetOne Veterinary – Rockville Centre Hospital. The hospital prides itself on being a flagship facility within the PetOne Veterinary network, offering state-of-the-art equipment and a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• ER/urgent care triage
• Anesthesia monitoring + surgical support
• Critical patient care + hospitalization
• IV catheter placement, blood draws, diagnostics
• Communicate clearly with doctors and team
• Growth & Training: CE allowance + free CE opportunities, PetOne Training Center access, on-site training programs, mentorship, and potential for leadership roles

Requirements

• Confidence working independently overnight
• Experience in ER, urgent care, or high-acuity settings
• Comfortable making clinical decisions
• Ability to stay calm, focused, and organized under pressure
• Ownership mentality towards patients and shifts

Qualifications

• Current LVT license
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical support
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including rotating weekends
