The Charleston Veterinary Referral Center is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to join their outstanding Oncology team!

Compensation

$24-34/hr based on experience and skill level

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 36 hour week

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years working as a Veterinary Technician; oncology or specialty experience a plus
• LVT certification preferred
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to delegate, problem-solve, and prioritize effectively
• Strong communication skills — verbal, written, and interpersonal
• Ability to act with professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to patient care
• Fluency in English (speaking & reading); additional languages a plus

Essential Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate medical records, controlled substance logs, and safe handling of treatments
• Perform patient treatments, venipuncture, diagnostics, and administer medications via multiple routes
• Absorb anesthesia monitoring, imaging, surgical, and diagnostic procedures as needed
• Communicate effectively with veterinarians, clients, staff, and leadership
• Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, safety standards, and quality patient care

Specialty services offered at CVRC include critical care, cardiology, internal medicine, medical oncology (radiation oncology coming soon!), anesthesia, neurology & neurosurgery, rehabilitation, soft tissue & orthopedic surgery. Our hospital is a newly renovated 32,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility and houses MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and digital radiographs for advanced diagnostic imaging.
