About the role

Wake Veterinary Medical Center in Raleigh is currently seeking an Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician or Assistant to join their collaborative and compassionate team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions in dogs and cats
• Perform routine medical procedures under supervision
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the veterinarian
• Collaborate with other members of the veterinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Support the hospital's mission of providing high-quality medicine with a healthy work-life balance

Requirements

• Registered Veterinary Technician License
• Experience in internal medicine preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passionate about veterinary medicine

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology or related field
• Current CPR certification
• Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
