Veterinary Technician - Internal Medicine
for section headings. Use - for any list. Use
for prose.
We need to decide sections: About the role (prose), Responsibilities (list), Requirements/Skills (maybe combine), Benefits (list), Pay (maybe just a
with pay), Schedule (maybe a
with schedule). Could also combine Pay and Schedule into one section? But rule: prefer few substantive sections over many thin ones. However we have distinct info; we could have sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Qualifications & Skills, Benefits, Pay & Schedule. But Pay and Schedule each could be separate but they'd be thin. Could combine into a "Compensation & Schedule" section.
We must not create a section if posting lacks real specific content. Pay and schedule are specific, so we can include them. Could combine.
Let's craft:
About the role

- Access to a regional licensed social worker for wellness guidance.
- Annual continuing education allowance, free continuing education sessions, BluePearl University training, and access to over 2,000 medical journals.
- Talent development programs and leadership workshops.
Compensation & Schedule
Pay: $20.00 - $40.50 per hour.
Schedule: Monday‑Thursday, 8:00 AM‑6:00 PM.
We must ensure no boilerplate like EEO etc. We removed.
Check for any leftover boilerplate: The original had "Why BluePearl?" etc. We captured benefits. We removed "We are an equal opportunity employer..." etc. Good.
Check for duplicate lines: none.
Check for any mention of "CareerTrax leveling system" - we omitted; maybe it's substantive? It's about leveling system. Could be considered part of qualifications or benefits? It's about career progression. Might be worth including in Qualifications & Skills or Benefits. The rule: preserve ALL substantive information. So we should include mention of CareerTrax leveling system and talent development programs. We already have talent development programs in Benefits. Could add a line about CareerTrax leveling system in Qualifications & Skills or About the role.
Add: "Associates are leveled by their skillset and move up in level as they gain more skills and experience (CareerTrax leveling system)." That is substantive.
Add to Qualifications & Skills paragraph.
Also mention "We encourage you to grow with us." Already covered.
Add "We are focused on developing our associates into leaders through talent development programs and leadership workshops." Already in Benefits.
Add "As a member of Mars Veterinary Health, our associates have endless opportunities to advance in their careers." Could be in Benefits.
Add "We offer annual continuing education allowance, free continuing education sessions, our own BluePearl University for training, and our clinicians have access to over 2,000 medical journals." Already in Benefits.
Add "We value your health and well-being as an associate by providing you with the following:" Already captured.
Add "We promote a family-like culture..." Could be in Benefits as a bullet.
Add "We believe in working together to lead the industry by enriching lives through remarkable care for pets" maybe fluff but could be omitted? It's substantive? It's more of a mission statement. Might be considered boilerplate? It's not legal/EEO. Could include in About the role.
We need to preserve all substantive information; not invent or summarize away detail. So we should include mission/culture statements if they are specific. However they are somewhat generic but still part of posting. The instruction: "Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions." Mission statement is not those. So we could keep a brief paragraph about culture.
Let's add to About the role: "BluePearl promotes a family-like culture, believes in working together to lead the industry by enriching lives through remarkable care for pets, and is committed to a diverse work environment where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity."
But note that the diversity statement is EEO-like but it's about diversity commitment; still could be considered EEO? It's about equal opportunity but it's a statement of commitment. The instruction says remove EEO/equal-opportunity boilerplate. That likely includes statements about being an equal opportunity employer and diversity commitments. Safer to remove that line. The posting includes: "BluePearl is committed to a diverse work environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity. We are an equal opportunity employer..." That's definitely EEO boilerplate. So we should remove that.
Thus we keep only non-EEO content.
Thus About the role: location and maybe mission about passion for pets.
We have "Our passion is pets." That's a benefit line but could be in About the role.
Let's craft About the role: "BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an Experienced Veterinary Technician to work in the Internal Medicine department at the Wyomissing, PA location. Our passion is pets, and we encourage you to grow with us."
That's fine.
Now ensure we didn't miss any substantive duty: "Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers." Already in responsibilities. "Have patience and empathy to address client concerns." Already.
"Learn to place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters." Already.
"Set up and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures which may include:- Joint Taps Body cavity centesis (thoracocentesis, pericardiocentesis, abdominocentesis) Bone marrow biopsy and aspirates Needle aspirates Laparoscopic or ultrasound-guided biopsies" Already captured.
"Perform digital radiography, utilizing sedation and other restraint/positioning techniques." Already.
"Properly calculate medical math (including constant rate infusions) and administer medications via appropriate routes and duration." Already.
"Be proficient at performing phlebotomy and placing intravenous catheters." Already.
"Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway). Clean and maintain equipment following procedure." Already.
"Discharge Internal Medicine patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as insulin injection, SQ fluid, and feeding tube demonstrations." Already.
"Perform anesthesia and sedation for CT scans, Endoscopy, and Ultrasound-guided procedures." Already.
"Act as liaison between our internists and our clients regarding patient histories, care instructions, lab results, patient updates, and other topics as requested by the doctors." Already.
Now benefits: we captured many but need to ensure we included all:
- Trupanion pet insurance and discounts to our associates for pet treatments, procedures, and food.
- We encourage you to grow with us. (maybe not a benefit but culture)
- Our associates are leveled by their skillset and move up in level as they gain more skills and experience. (CareerTrax)
- We are focused on developing our associates into leaders through talent development programs and leadership workshops.
- As a member of Mars Veterinary Health, our associates have endless opportunities to advance in their careers.
- We offer annual continuing education allowance, free continuing education sessions, our own BluePearl University for training, and our clinicians have access to over 2,000 medical journals.
- We value your health and well-being as an associate by providing you with the following:
- Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options.
- Parental leave benefits
- Flexible work schedules
- 401k and retirement planning
- Time to reset, rewind, and reflect through our paid time off and floating holiday plans
- A regional licensed social worker who can provide guidance, advice, and tips/tricks on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle while working in a fast-paced emergency and specialty care environment
- We promote a family-like culture in our hospitals. We are all in this together. We believe in working together to lead the industry by enriching lives through remarkable care for pets
We may combine some.
We should not include EEO statements.
Thus Benefits list could include:
- Trupanion pet insurance and discounts for associate pet treatments, procedures, and food.
- CareerTrax leveling system: associates are leveled by skillset and advance with experience.
- Talent development programs and leadership workshops to develop associates into leaders.
- Endless career advancement opportunities as part of Mars Veterinary Health.
- Annual continuing education allowance, free continuing education sessions, BluePearl University training, and access to over 2,000 medical journals.
- Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options.
- Parental leave benefits.
- Flexible work schedules.
- 401k and retirement planning.
- Paid time off and floating holiday plans.
- Access to a regional licensed social worker for wellness guidance.
- Family-like culture emphasizing teamwork and remarkable care for pets.
We should avoid vague statements like "We encourage you to grow with us." but it's somewhat vague; still it's substantive? Could be considered fluff. Might be okay but we can incorporate into culture.
We'll
for prose. We need to decide sections: About the role (prose), Responsibilities (list), Requirements/Skills (maybe combine), Benefits (list), Pay (maybe just a
