Pieper Veterinary is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our team at Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center, a VECCS Level I Facility in Middletown, CT. Our mission is to make our community and the animals and people within it healthier and happier.

About You
- Strong communication and multitasking skills essential in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Maintain a high standard of patient care.
- Experience with restraint, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and anesthesia, with at least one year of experience in a busy hospital.
- Plus: Experience with CPR, EzyVet, and SmartFlow.
Anticipated Schedule
This is a part-time position: Friday - 2pm-12am or 4pm-2:30am.
Compensation
- $22.50-$30.00/hour dependent upon experience + shift differential.

Requirements
- At least 1 year or more of experience in a busy hospital, focusing on nursing care.
- Associates degree in Veterinary Technology is a plus.
- CVT license is a plus.
- Knowledge with Anesthesia and monitoring.
- Phlebotomy knowledge.
- Knowledge of scheduling, receiving, treating, ordering medical supplies, and requesting laboratory tests.
- Knowledge of instruments, materials, and standardized procedures used in treatments.
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and client needs assessment.
- Ability to work independently and follow directions.
- Must be 18 years or older to apply.
